I have been lucky to be able to frequent the Langham hotel of Shanghai in the Xintiandi area over the recent years. It is situated in the most pretty part of the French Concession in Shanghai, within walking distance from the New Zealand Centre that our government was smart enough to position itself in, and is surrounded by the best range of all the foods that China can offer.
We are noticing a trend from our clients. The modern clients nowadays are very active in their work and life, travelling a lot, and many of them are even more time poor than us sometimes. When it comes to serving them, the old ways of asking them to pop by to have a chat at our offices as a nice way to start the professional relationship seems so outdated or almost inconsiderate.
We are busy people. Think about the challenges that modern families face in having to allow enough time for their loved ones to have quality conversations with one another on a regular basis. We lawyers have to do that much more for many clients, usually at the same time, to make sure we manage and progress their briefs without leaving anyone too far behind.
