Royal Reed joining Litigation Skills Programme in 2019 as member of faculty
Following years of experience dealing with difficult and complex litigation cases, Royal was recommended and has been selected to join the faculty of the New Zealand Law Society Continuing Legal Education in delivering the 2019 Litigation Skills Programme.
The week long residential programme provides in-depth hands-on training in the skills needed for successful courtroom advocacy.
Programme participants will perform simulated courtroom exercises where they will be critiqued by faculty members so they can recognize and learn from their mistakes for real life court cases.
Royal, along with other faculty members, will discuss and demonstrate the major court room skills, especially in dealing with cross-cultural court cases, she’s acquired through her long spanning legal career.
When starting her legal career in 2001, Royal was mentored by many senior colleagues who had been part of this programme, and she personally benefited from this course before.
This is one of the many initiatives that Royal has engaged in giving back to the community.
